We are looking for a babysitter to help out with our 17-month-old daughter. We are looking for someone who will speak to her only in Mandarin. Right now, she only understands Mandarin – both mom and dad speak Mandarin at an elementary school level. Open warm and kind. Someone interested in cooking would be a plus. We have an 8 month old

and 2 and half year old daughters. We have no pets and a private room/bathroom. Both

parents work from home (mom is a doctor, dad is finance). 2.5 year old is in preschool Monday

to Friday from 9-noon.

Typical nanny responsibilities for an 8 month old and 2.5 year old, children’s laundry, coordinate

naps, meals/feedings, playdates, driving to/from activities, baths, bed time, organization of

children’s play areas, washing pump/bottle parts. Meal prep for children (parents will also often

eat same food prepared for kids). Light cleaning/vacuuming of kitchen/taking out trash and

unloading dishwasher.

Hours:

60 hours per week Monday to Friday, open to living in 7 days a week and working on Saturday.

Pay:

$400/day.

While staying with us, your primary responsibilities will include:

- **Housekeeping & Cleaning:** A large portion of your duties will involve the daily upkeep of the house, including ironing, general cleaning, and light cooking. Please note that our home has many stairs, so this role will require a lot of walking and movement.

- **Childcare & Nanny Duties:** Assisting with the care of our children, who are 7 and 10 years old, including walking them to and from after-school activities in our neighborhood.

- **Babysitting:** Three nights per week—Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

- **Language Interaction:** Engaging with the children in Chinese every day, including speaking, playing, and reading, to help them learn and practice the language.

We prefer candidates who are Mandarin speakers with little or no English, as we want to immerse our children in the language. Our children already speak Mandarin, but my husband and I do not, so communication will primarily be with the children in Mandarin. A good cook is a great addition to the role, as we appreciate home-cooked meals. We are also looking for someone who is interested in a long-term commitment to our family and who can start as soon as possible.

An Tribeca family is looking for a full-time Chinese nanny to take care of two children (3 year old girl, 2 month old boy). The older child attends school full-time M-F 8:30am - 3pm. Applicants need to be caring, warm, reliable, and flexible to help the daily life of the family.

Responsibilities include:

• Children's safety and health, including basic daily activities, such as shower/bath, diaper change, toilet training, hand washing, and basic etiquette and behavior

• Pick-up and drop-off to various activities

• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals / snacks and clean up after children. May also be asked occasionally to help meal prep for the family dinner

• Organize the shared areas of the children's rooms and living spaces every day

• Organize some activities, including visits to the library, museums, etc.

  Run errands, such as grocery shopping or dropping off packages

Qualifications:

• Speak standard Chinese and fluent English (applicants from Northeastern China or those who are familiar with Northeastern Chinese cuisine are preferred)

• Have legal work qualifications in the United States

  Bachelors’ degree is preferred

  Love of cooking healthy foods and experience feeding toddlers and younger children

• History of staying with family long-term

• Ability to travel with the family. During the summer, we spend much time out in NJ, an hour from NYC, and the nanny can be live in during that period, unless they prefer to commute

Work details:
